Differences metabolites between HY & LY: Citric acid cycle, Amino acids, Purine & Pyrimidine metabolism, Glycolytic and Oxidative phosphorylation Up-regulation of proteins in Oxidative phosphorylation and ATP biosynthesis more pronounced in High Oil-yielding Fruits. From metabolomics data, amino acids (early stage), nucleosides (mature stage) and glycerol 3-phosphate found to be high in High Oil-yielding mesocarps Levels of metabolites involved in glycolysis reveals divergence in carbon flux from pyruvate towards glycerol 3-phosphate as well as significant increases in the malate to citrate ratio preceding and during the lipid biosynthesis periods of fruit development.
