摘要

Potential OA markers have been successfully identified and localized in human synovial membranes by MALDI-MSI. Osteoarthritis (OA) is a rheumatic pathology involving degradation of joint. Its cause is still not completely known and there is no cure. MALDI-MSI involves the visualization of the spatial distribution of proteins, peptides or drug candidate compounds within thin slices of tissue. It is a promising tool for putative biomarker characterization. We have identified and localized OA markers by MALDI-MSI.
