摘要

This study is the first to provide detailed information on lipid mediator production in mast cells. The results provide evidence that the oxylipin profiles of murine mast cells are phenotype specific with additional differences in response curves following stimulation with ionophore. These differences may affect the inflammatory cycle from activation to resolution phase and the overall activity and regulation of the phenotypes. Further mechanistic studies are required to investigate whether the trends observed in oxylipin production in murine mast cells are also found in the human phenotypes.
