Structural studies of the Cascade complex with IMMS: (1) CasC subunits form an elongated (not ring-closed) scaffold; (2) CasA is associated on the periphery of the Cascade complex; (3) CasB dimer is associated inside a cavity within the Cascade complex. Cascade complex bound to ssDNA: (1) increases the stability of the Cascade complex; (2) changes the Cascade conformation.
