摘要

We applied SESI-MS to the detection and characterization of VOCs produced by both Gram positive and Gram negative bacterial species. 1. We successfully demonstrated the utility of SESI-MS for the real-time identification of bacterial genus, species, strains and serovars, as well as multiple bacterial detection in polymicrobial cultures in vitro. 2. The data indicate that SESI-MS may play a promising role in clinical and environmental pathogen detection.
