摘要

The results obtained utilizing LESD were consistent with published crosslinking studies on selected residues. This, along with the data obtained in a related comparison of labeling between the melittin monomer and tetramer reinforce the value of this method for protein-peptide interactions. Our data also indicated the possibility that other interactions occur at previously undescribed residues which could lead to further understanding of the melittin-calmodulin complex. The low-intensity of our MSMS spectra must be overcome before the reliability of our results is certain.
