Protein Knockdown Measurements of ACLY, GPAT and Apo B in Mouse Liver by SRM

When utilizing SILAC -mouse liver as internal standard (IS), the IS is introduced very early in the sample preparation, accounting for variability in protein extraction, gel separation, digestion and peptide extraction. The measurements can generate rapid proof of concept prior to going into man and can be a useful tool in basic research. The approach is easily translatable to non human primates since we selected peptides which are identical between species. The approach can be multiplexed.
