The QuEChERS sample pretreatment method combined with LC-MS/MS has validated for trace amounts of mycotoxins in grain products. The analytical linearity for aflatoxins, ochratoxins, citrinin and patulin was from 1.5 to 100 (mu)g/kg, 25 to 1000 (mu)g/kg, 150 to 800 (mu)g/kg, respectively. The limits of detection were from 0.4 to 1.0 (mu)g/kg for aflatoxins, 0.4 to 0.6 (mu)g/kg for ochratoxins, 6 (mu)g/kg for citrinin and 28 (mu)g/kg for patulin. The relative standard deviations of intra-day precision and inter-day precision were below 17.1percent and 19.4percent. The results demonstrate the suitability of QuEChERS combined with LC-MS/MS approach to analyze trace amount of mycotoxins in grain products.
