The supernatant fraction at pH 9 was the most depleted in albumin. The precipitation pattern was the same in both within one gender and between male and female. The use of a decoy database assisted Expectation-Maximization in PeptideProphet. SpectraST search using ISB spectral library resulted in the largest number of identified peptides and proteins. Albumin depletion efficency approx50percent. The sequence coverage of other, high- and low molecular weight proteins in both the pellet and supernatant fractions increased noticably.
