摘要

The combined SPME-GC-MS and ~(1)H NMR-based approach appears promising for metabolic profiling of biofluids. This approach allows the detection of a broad range of metabolites produced both endogenously and exogenously. Subtle difference between genders, as related to metabolisms of fat, amino acids, TCA cycle intermediates, can be rapidly captured via the integrated analysis of urine samples. It is believed that this combination will be useful in other applications such as disease diagnosis and toxicity/therapy assessment.
