摘要

We have successfully developed the MALDI mass spectrometric imaging technique for direct analysis of the glycoalkaloids which are found in potato tubers. MALDI-MSI has been shown to be a useful technique if information about the spatial distribution of toxic or bioactive metabolites in medicinal stuff or foods is required. Therefore, MALDI-MSI can play a seminal role in the improvement of precision and reliability in natural stuff and food ingredient analysis for quality control and safety.
