Enhanced Workflow for Rapid Identification of Ultrafiltration Screening Ligands

Using a combination of high resolution mass spectrometry, data-dependent MS~(n), and the algorithms in a metabolite identification software program, ultrafiltration screening ligands can be detected and characterized quickly from complex samples. We have applied this method to the detection and characterization of COX ligands from cocoa extracts. This method may be applied to high throughput ultrafiltration screening because every step of the workflow can be automated from liquid handling to data processing and database searching.
