The Long monolith silica column with long gradient time showed great performance on shotgun E. coli proteome analysis. In total, 22,196 non-redundant tryptic peptides from 2,602 proteins including 830 membrance proteins were identified for the #. coli cells (triplicate analyses), in which the equivalent number of genes was detected by DNA microarray analysis.
