Determination of the number of apolipoprotein molecules in reconstituted high density lipoprotein complexes using MALDI-MS

We clearly demonstrated that the cross-linking combined with MALDI-MS is a reliable novel technique for determining the molecular stoichiometry of rHDL with either a single protein component or multiple protein components. The capability of absolute mass determination by MALDI-MS technique renders accurate stoichiometry determination.
