With improved techniques, we have been able to dissect individual neurons and analyze these neurons by MALDI-MS. Can create a reproducible peptide map of the morphologically distinct neurons of the DG. 4 novel peptides have been sequenced from the neuron ALA. De novo sequencing at the single cell level in combination with 1x genome is powerful.
