T dwarfs all the way to 550K?

We highlight recent results from the UKIDSS Large Area Survey (LAS) including aT dwarf with an estimated Teff = 550 - 600K and new constraints on the substellar mass functionin the field. We also define the T9 subtype as an extension to the T spectral sequence defined byBurgasser et al (2006).
