DIGITISING HISTORIC NEWSPAPERS IN GERMANY —THE CASE OF BAVARIA

Power Point presentations are not ideal summaries of conference contributions. In this case, however, the "red thread" that connects the factual information shows clearly, and above all, Germany has so far been more an onlooker than a participant in the active development of newspaper librarianship. Now, the current project of the Bavarian State Library looks like the long expected breakthrough, and thus this presentation will serve as a welcome source of information.
