Thermal stratification in rocket liquid oxygen tank with natural circulationprecooling loop is numerically analyzed under different return locations and influxangles of precooling flow. It is found that the heat convection is dominant in thebulk above the return flow location and the heat conduction becomes primary inthe region below the return flow location. The axial thermal stratification exists inthe whole range of tank and the radial stratification appears mainly in the bottom.The stratification is influenced by the selection of return location and influx angleof precooling flow. The optimal values of return flow location at 2 meter above thebottom header and the influx angle of 30° are determined
