DETECTION OF BACTERIAL RESPIRATORY PATHOGENS IN LUNG LAVAGE FLUID OF WEANERS IN NORTH AND SOUTH GERMANY

The post-weaning respiratory disease complex results from the presence of a variable number of respiratory agents. Ct-haem. Streptococcus, Pasteurella multocida, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Haemophilus parasuis and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae can diagnose in lungs and play a big role in the respiratory disease complex. Lung lavage is a possibility to diagnose the agents at the place of the infection (1). The aim of the study was to show the bacterial micro flora in weaners diagnosed by usual culture methods and compare the results of lung lavages from North- and South Germany.
