摘要

A novel integrated system for a stable and large-scale cellulosic bioethanol supply from herbaceous energy crops has been developed. This new ethanol production process is made by combining several novel technologies containing dry ammonia pre-treatment process, saccharification by self-made enzymes, membrane system for enzyme recycling and sugar concentration, and ethanol fermentation using non-genetically modified yeast. The results are delivered from the collaborative research with the University of Tokyo, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Mechatronics Systems, Ltd., TOYOTA MOTOR Corporation, Kajima Corporation, Sapporo Engineering Ltd. and Toray Industries, Inc., sponsored by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO).
