Measurement of Heart Functionality and Aging with Body Surface Electrocardiograph

A body surface electrocardiograph employs 124 spot electrodes positioned wider area around human hart to detect heartpotential generated by the hart beat in sync, collect and configure plural position potential signals to make up body surface electrocardiography showing human heart condition dynamically and graphically. This electrocardiography displays not only conventional one-dimensional time variation at a very limited position obtained with 12 leading electrodes electrocardiograph or Holter electrocardiograph showing, but also three dimensional and motion images of body surface electrocardiography by examining wider area at faster sampling rate with higher resolution. We expect such electrocardiography could possibly show additional or new information which is not obtained by conventional one-dimension electrocardiograph. We study a utility of the body surface electrocardiograph, i.e., what can be seen by the body surface electrocardiography, examining many body surface potential distribution of variety of examinees obtained by the electrocardiograph. This paper reports significant difference between a regular person and person with higher cardiopulmonary, and aging variation.
