The process of designing a new assembly line must take many demanding factors into account. This presentation will review a particular line where there was a great need to incorporate quality and design for assembly into the process. At the same time, it was necessary to meet specific budgetary guidelines that conflicted with some of the ideal ergonomic solutions. Finally, the line had to be designed to fit into a global workplace - meaning an anthropometrically diverse workforce.
