The final shape of the draw bended parts is seriously affected by the springback phenomenon. The present work deals with numerical simulation and experimental tests related to draw bending and springback of U - shaped parts manufactured from tailor welded blanks. The current paper is trying to prove out the important role that the metal grain orientation of the joined steel sheets has on the springback intensity. The experimental tests and the simulation by finite element method (ABAQUS) have been carried out using two different materials grain orientaion directions and maintaining constant all other parameters.
