INTEGRATED FUEL ETHANOL PRODUCTION

Ethanol has been used as a fuel, solvent and drinking alcohol for hundreds of years. With the increasing need to replace fossil fuels with renewable fuels the demand for ethanol blended fuels has increased. On a global scale this has created significant growth in the fuel ethanol industry in countries including the United States of America, Brazil, South East Asia and also in Australia In Australia the maximum amount of ethanol that can currently be blended into Petrol is 10% to produce E10. In othercountries ethanol can be blended at 85% to produce an E85 blend. These E85 blends are used in Flex Fuel Vehicles (FFV) that are designed to accommodate any fuel containing 0-85% ethanol.
