The present invention describes an integrated system and an integrated process for ethanol recovery and isoamyl alcohol production by distillation of fusel oil, a by-product of ethanol-producing plants, decreasing waste generation therefrom. Additional subjects of the present invention are the isoamyl alcohol and recovered ethanol produced by the process described herein. The integrated system and the integrated process described in the present invention can be used in ethanol-producing plants or distilled spirits plants, increasing production efficiency and maintaining the purity grade of the ethanol. The isoamyl alcohol produced in the process is used as a reagent and solvent in the food, paint and varnish, plasticizer and perfume industries. Such advantages are achieved by coupling an isoamyl alcohol purification unit to an ethanol-producing plant and by laterally removing a small amount of isobutanol from said coupled unit, maximizing ethanol and isoamyl alcohol production.
