SYNTHESIS OF PEPTOID-PEPTIDE ANALOGS OF SUBSTANCE P FRAGMENTS INCORPORATING D- AMINO ACIDS

C-Terminal analogs of Substance P (SP) have been studied for their ability to prevent tumor growth or the proliferation of several cancer cell lines. The incorporation of D-amino acids into the sequence of SP and N-methylation of peptide bonds have shown to protect SP from the action of plasma and tissue peptidases.
