摘要

Sticholysin II (StII), a water-soluble protein produced by the anemone Stichodactyla heliantus, binds to membranes, lysing cells through pore formation . The monomer crystal structure has been solved , however, the toxin molecular mechanism of action is not fully understood. Similarly to equinatoxin II , StII's N-terminal region is thought to play an important function in pore formation.
