摘要

This study is dedicated to examining of combustion processes in a small - scale retort boiler fired with specially prepared coal (or biomass pellets). For this purpose the fixed-bed model has been developed and implemented into a CFD-based boiler model. The created model has been validated against measurements of temperature and gas composition of a fixed-bed of EKORET coal. Results, obtained during numerical calculations and measurements show that the boiler model can be used to optimize the boiler performance.
