Since decades, compounds based on alloys of bismuth and antimony elements are considered as one of the most effective candidate materials for thermoelectric (IE) applications systems operating in temperature range below 200 K. The group V semirnetals Bi and Sb exhibit a rhombohedral A7 structure (space group R3m). As Bi and Sb semimetals possess similar lattice parameters, Bi-Sb alloy is a continuous solid solution over the whole composition range. Promising ZT values have been measured for single crystals of Bi-Sb alloys [1].
