A reduced workflow method for the extraction of vitamin B7 (biotin) from human serum with no drydown prior to mixed mode LC-MS/MS

The EVOLUTE EXPRESS AX plate demonstrated the ability to remove 3 steps from a traditional SPE workflow (sorbent conditioning, equilibration and evaporation/reconstitution) but linearity was limited to ng/mL levels. Towards measuring prediatric and deficient patient samples, the cartridge format allowed for higher loading capacity and the evaporation/reconstitution steps would be recommended to allow for sample enrichment. It is anticipated that this work would be of broad based interest to clinical labs interested in reduced workflow sample preparation strategies.
