This study provides the first, global analyses of protein expression in the Al sensitive BR007 and Al tolerant SC566 sorghum lines with or without Al treatment.Using a mulit-channel iTRAQtechnology, variations of protein profiling in the root tip region of two sorghum lines were studied. Our results suggest that in addition to the exclusion mechanism mediated by Al-activated root citrate exudation, antioxidant enzymes might play an important role in sorghum Al tolerance.
