摘要

The secretome, a subset of the proteome, is composed of all secreted proteins and regulates many physiological processes such as cell communication, migration, proliferation, homeostasis, signaling, development and immune responses. Its study will aid in a better understanding of disease progression and cellular regulation mechanisms. Moreover, the secretome holds the potential to reveal novel biomarkers and therapeutic agents [1-4].
