摘要

The formation of sulfoxide at cysteine sulfur in the prenylated peptides on oxidation results in the loss of RSOH group (R = farnesyl/geranylgeranyl) during the fragmentation in mass spectrometry. The epoxy groups increase the hydrophilicity and make prenyl peptides enrichable. Enrichment strategy is currently developed for epoxy prenylated peptides/proteins using specific biotinylated agent.
