Quantification of 4-(Methylnitrosamino)-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanol (NNAL) in Urine Using Solid-Phase Extraction and UPLC-ES/MS/MS

A solid-phase extraction method was developed and validated for use in conjunction with UPLCES/ MS/MS for the detection and quantification of NNAL in hamster urine. A small study was also undertaken using lower volumes of urine. These studies indicate that this method is suitable for between 100 and 500 μl of urine.
