Targeted proteomics analysis with an Extended Dynamic Range (EDR) Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer showed good results. 1. EDR was successfully implemented on the EVOQ triple quad mass spectrometer and used in the analysis of BSA peptides from a tryptic digest. 2. The observed linear dynamic range was from 0.001 fm to 100,000 fm. 3. LLOQ was less thatn 0.001 fm (1 atttomole). 4. Reproducibility was good over five replicate inections at each concentration level. 5. The system performance in terms of sensitivity and linear dynamic range is suitable for peptide quantitation. Future studies are planned to evaluate the system with tryptic peptides spiked into human plasma digest matrices.
