摘要

APPI FT-ICR analysis of heavy crude oils allows access to compounds with boiling points higher than obtainable nebulization temperatures. Due to increased complexity associated with asphaltenes, APPI for nonpolar speciation and boiling point correlation by FT-ICR MS continues to present challenges. Future work will focus on adjustment of ionization parameters to facilitate asphaltene analysis.
