摘要

Although CSF is 200-fold less concentrated than serum in protein concentration, we were able to quantify over 75,000 molecular ions in each sample (not counting isotopes) with signal-to-noise ratios above 3.5:1. Our MassViewTM software was used to effectively and accurately quantify very complex data sets. Approximately 200 proteins were observed as new findings or with enhanced confidence and changing significantly in CNS Lymphoma vs. control. Methods to link accurate masses from profiling data to MS/MS data based upon m/z, retention time and z allowed us to identify proteins that were not identified in the previous study, serving as new candidate biomarkers.
