Determination of isoprenoid biosynthesis intermediates using HPLC- and UPLC-MS/MS

We developed a sensitive and specific LC-MS/MS-based method for the detection and quantification of non-sterol intermediates of the isoprenoid biosynthesis pathway. The method enables measurement of a profile of isoprenoid intermediates in cells with compromised isoprenoid biosynthesis, and thus specificity of inhibitors of the pathway.
