摘要

1. We are using ~(15)N metabolic labeling to characterize protein expression in colon tumors from the Min mouse. 2. Using a diet derived from algal cells we have achieved high ~(15)N incorporation across a variety of tissues in the mouse. 3. We have established a reliable system for the high throughput identification and quantification of peptides and proteins via metabolic labeling and LC-MALDI analysis on a Tof/Tof mass spectrometer. 4. Using this system, we are identifying proteins whose abundance is altered in tumor tissue. 5. We are now comparing the results of our proteome survey with independent transcriptome analysis as a step toward better understanding tumor biology at a system-wide level.
