摘要

Two new statistical score models based on MCS have been developed to evaluate peptide matches in shotgun proteomic data. By incorporating the two models in MassMatrix, it was further demonstrated that MCS can be practically used to solve complex statistical models in database search for shotgun proteomic data. ROC analysis indicated that MCS based score models improved the performance of MassMatrix for the data sets from LCQ and LTQ-Orbitrap mass spectrometers.
