Lu_(2)Fe_(17) is a ferromagnet below T_(C) velence 140 K and antiferromagnet up to T_(N) approx= 278 K. Hydrogen absorption leads to a stabilization in the ferromagnetism over the whole range of magnetic order and to an increase of the ordering temperature up to T_(C) velence 354 K in Lu_(2)Fe_(17)H_(1). The external pressure compensates the lattice expansion upon hydrogenation, and a re-entrance of antiferromagnetism is observed.
