摘要

We are developing a tree climbing robot named WOODY in order to support the forestry works. In this paper, we show the function for measuring the grasping power which simplifies operating the robot. To measure the grasping power, we installed a leaf spring on each arm. We carried out some experiments to select the parameters of the spring, and the advantage of the function was confirmed.
