HERIOS: Remote Monitoring and Control Systems for Elevators

HERIOS, a remote monitoring and control system for elevators from Hitachi Building Systems Co., Ltd., was released in 1987 and fully supports our high quality elevator maintenance service. In 2005, we developed elevator remote control and monitoring functions using HERIOS in order to improve maintenance services. We also developed functions to help in the rapid resumption of elevator operations and a function that enables the remote rescue of trapped passengers after an earthquake. Furthermore, we launched an original service where customers can control elevators via the internet for greater comfort and convenience. In this paper, we present up-to-date HERIOS services for our customers.
