Blain Hydraulics GmbH has been manufacturing hydraulic elevator control valves for more than 40 years. Ninety percent of its troubleshooting calls are solved via phone. However, this requires a proper description of the problem, which, in many cases, leads to longer calls. Typically, corrective advice takes a minimal portion of the total call time. In this respect, understanding the problem directly from the performance data of the elevator is important for cost effectiveness and prompt servicing.
