This paper traces the history of Elevcon from the first meeting in Nice, France (1986) to Elevcon 19 in Miami, Florida (2012). The goals articulated in the IAEE Constitution form the framework through which these meetings are assessed. This assessment includes an overview of conference participants, which will illustrate the changing demographic of presenters (both individuals and companies) who participated in these events. This paper will also provide insights into topics that have consistently been addressed at Elevcon and concludes with suggestions for future research concerning global industry trends and concerns.
