The behavior of thermoluminescence (TL), optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) and phototransfened TL (PTTL) under thermal and/or optical stimulation in beta irradiated SrAbO^Eu2*, Dy3+ was investigated. The decay curve of the AG is described by a power law with exponent 1.5 The TL glow curve consists of three second kinetics order peaks with maxima at about 340, 430 and 550 K and an additional peak above 750 K The AG decay during RT storage or under pre-heating correlates well with the decay of the 340 K TL glow peak indicating that the RT AG is mainly due to the thermal emptying of the traps responsible for the 340 K peak The behaviour of the stimulated luminescence in beta irradiated SrAbO^Eu2*, Dy3+ is explained by the transformation of Eu2+ and Dy3+ to Eu3+ and Dy2+ due to irradiation and their converse transformation under thermal or infrared stimulation. The Eu2+ ions are the luminescent centres and the Dy2+ centers situated in two different Sr sites are the infrared sensitive traps responsible for the 340 and 430 K TL peaks and OSL.
