THE EFFECT OF KNOWLEDGE CAPABILITIES ON STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION

The creation and use of knowledge has increasingly been regarded as an important resource for management. A wide range of studies have investigated the use and creation of knowledge in firms. Notwithstanding these studies, very little systematic attention has been paid to the linkages between strategy implementation and knowledge. In this study, knowledge is viewed as the result of various interactions with the main focus being its capabilities in an organization. Knowledge capabilities are believed to enhance the effectiveness of strategy implementation. The goals of this paper are to lay out the foundation for the linkages and to describe the research model and propositions to study these linkages.
