A COMPARISON OF SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS WOMEN FROM NAFTA MEMBER COUNTRIES

The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) has created a seamless market combining three historically close trading partners - the United States, Canada and Mexico. While commercially close, the three countries have vast cultural differences, particularly in the roles of women. This study is one of the first to focus on the personality, cultural and demographic dimensions of relatively more successful women operating in this larger marketplace. Overall, while some key differences do emerge, the similarities among many of them, especially the entrepreneurs, are even more striking.
