A collection of case studies prepared for delegates to a conference entitled'Women Entrepreneurs in Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises: Realizing the Benefits of Globalizations and the Knowledge-Based Economy,' organized by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and held in Paris, France, in November 2000. The papers detail a number of initiatives that have been successfully implemented by government and private-sector institutions to foster the growth of women's business ownership.
