OPTICAL MEASUREMENT CAPABILITY AND SCIENCE AT NPL

摘要

Optical measurement science at the National Physical Laboratory, UK, extends from the development of primary and derivative scales to the design of specialised instrumentation for solving fundamental problems for industry and academia. From measurements of laboratory reference standards to Earth spectral radiance, NPL's key concern is to provide tailored solutions which ensure traceable calibration chains. This paper reviews current NPL optical measurement capability and science.
